I will dominate 'serious combatant' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight round match which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the pair met personally to build hype for next month's heavyweight fight.

Former two-time world boxing king Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth disparity - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Fighter's Attitude

"I plan to break his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.

"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I will seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my goal."

Respectful Interaction

Despite such comments, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Paul - normally famous for his theatrics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul rather targeted ex Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "not serious" after the Cameroonian declined a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, targeted British opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a large bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua stated.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite declaring he will punish Paul, Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he remarked.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since turning professional.

He lost to Briton Fury in last year.

Financial Success

Still, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's greatest money-making draws, regularly earning massive earnings.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in rounds four or five and stated he would prevent the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly being planned for two years from now.

"The next fight will be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.

Physical Disparity

As both boxers participated in the usual face-off, with their size difference on show, it drove home just how improbable this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the match is really proceeding.
